Why did Green Lawn Fertilizing implement a fuel surcharge?

Like many service companies, we have experienced significant increases in fuel and material costs. We have absorbed these increases for as long as possible in an effort to avoid additional charges to our customers. To continue providing reliable, high-quality service, we are implementing a temporary fuel surcharge beginning May 18, 2026.

Is this a permanent price increase?

No. This is a temporary surcharge tied to fuel costs and is separate from our standard service pricing. Our goal is to reduce or eliminate the surcharge as fuel costs stabilize.

 

How much is the fuel surcharge?

The surcharge is currently $4.91 per service visit and will vary based on fuel costs. The surcharge will never exceed $6 per visit.

 

How often will the surcharge be applied?

The fuel surcharge will be applied after each scheduled service visit.

 

What is Green Lawn Fertilizing doing to reduce fuel costs?

We continue to look for ways to operate as efficiently as possible, including:

• Optimizing service routes to reduce drive time and fuel usage
• Utilizing efficient scheduling practices
• Properly maintaining our vehicles and equipment for maximum fuel efficiency

I’m unhappy with my service. Why am I being charged more?

We never want a customer to feel dissatisfied with their service. If you are experiencing concerns with your lawn or service, please contact us so we can make it right. The fuel surcharge is a temporary charge related specifically to rising fuel costs and is not connected to your lawn results or service quality.

 

How long will the fuel surcharge remain in place?

Our goal is to remove the surcharge as soon as fuel costs allow. We will continue to evaluate fuel prices regularly and make adjustments when appropriate.
